The HCP421V-PM is a vacuum-tight, temperature-controlled probing stage capable of heating and cooling between -190ºC and 400ºC. 4 independent electrical probes are manually positioned onto the sample, which rests on a Ø26 mm silver thermal block. Electrical heating provides precision temperature control up to 400ºC under vacuum or ambient conditions, while Instec's optional LN2-P system enables sample cooling via LN2 circulation down to -190ºC.
The HCP421V-PM vacuum-tight chamber is rated at 9.9*10^-3 mBar to prevent condensation or oxidation during heating/ cooling. The chamber also supports a positive-pressure gas purge up to +0.5 Bar for reactive gases or humidity control.
This miniature probing stage is ideal for characterizing electrical devices and materials and can be easily integrated with optical instruments to add temperature control to almost any optical tool.
Upgrade to the HCP421V-PM + model to access advanced customization options such as additional electrical feedthroughs, transmission apertures, triaxial/ SMA connector options, custom lids, and much more.
Upgrade to the HCP421V-PMH non-paramagnetic probing chamber to perform Hall Effect studies with simultaneous precision temperature control and atmospheric control.
